I made a trip to Fukuoka Prefecture during the new year vacation in hope of finding the globally endangered Black-faced Spoonbill. I did see them in a good number but unfortunately, they were far out in the middle of the huge river, so I couldn't get any decent photo of them. I came back and started painting the spoonbills in the way that I wanted to see them. That's one good thing about being able to draw. I used acrylic colour on 300g paper.

That's great too.
Wow N'Ton !!!
I follow the lead from your Photography Blog. You're such a born bird specialist. I remember this bird with a spoon-like beak from your older blog. Your painting is fantastic. It's always good to see how imagination is transformed into a piece a art. Keep drawing and painting!

"a piece of art" sorry for the typo. It's just that I was a bit over excited to see all these here :-D
That is just beautiful - the way you used the dark background and each pose and expression so different
